Sometimes, we place all this Hi Tech feature jargon on a website. Yet, do you know what benefit this has for you? ...A really good feeling, good fitting boot. And boots are supposed to be durable too. This one is. The tread on the bottom is easy to keep in a stirrup. Expect the boot to feel like a good handshake in the fore part of the foot, and slip a little on your heel. With about 16 hours of wear, this will break in properly.

Legend Square Toe

When I was 17, in 1973, Square toed boots were the fashion boot of the decade...They're Back!...for our 2nd "life's playtime"! 

If you are a visitor who has never worn Western boots, the heel height is misleading. The boot is shaped with an exterior heel that will aid in controlling how far in the stirrup a foot will slide. It is large at the base and comes under your foot considerably more than many fashion boots. This gives stability and structure, so your legs and back are more properly supported, whether on the ground standing, walking, or riding that horse. (Not a warranteed claim!!!  Don't you hate it when you can't tell common sense stuff because it might make you an expert, or liable, for something? Sports will get you hurt, no matter what.) The boot will feel like wearing a really arch supportive shoe with a 1 inch heel. The technology just sort of absorbs that extra 1/2 inch height in comfort and "pride".  Try 'em...You'll like 'em.

 

This square toe is a medium toe. Expect the toe of a boot to extend past your toes further than any street shoe. After all, you don't want your middle toes all crossed up in a short toe boot, do you? They won't!  We always fit the arch and ball areas of footwear. There is usually plenty of room in the toe when the arch is properly fitted. Boot makers allow more toe room than in a standard shoe, for comfort reasons. Boot comfort, such as allowing more air circulation, means your feet are not as damp all day; therefore, don't rot or smell as badly as in other footwear!  The heel slippage actually pumps air around your foot to help dissipate foot moisture better than any other footwear, (except open toe style sandals).

 (Double stitched welt. An oil pullup leather that easily conforms to your foot. The color is blended, and changes as the oils are added or dry. The colors can even change as you bend your foot. Hides scratches because it looks kinda beat up to begin with! Great, most popular casual boot.)
