Heritage Roper

The Ariat Heritage Roper, now enhanced with Ariat's exclusive ATS Technology, is a superb all-around boot. Premium quality leather uppers are paired with the highly flexible and durable Duratread™ outsole.

So what is a roper boot? Sometimes we assume everyone who searches for a boot is a cowboy. WRONG? There's people in this world that like this stuff, but never wipe a cow's nose. Ropers got their name because the first guys to use this wellington boot, (old name - been a wellington boot for centuries), for rodeo were the calf ropers. They jump off a horse slowing from about 30mph to run down a rope and tie the calf's legs. This requires a boot that will take a pounding, and not too much heel. toe extending past the toes of the foot tended to trip 'em up. Since "ropers", cowboys who rope, were the first ones to wear them, the boots took the nickname, "ropers". (associated with those guys)

This distressed brown is our most popular color, in one of our most popular boots. But, there are several others from which to choose. This Heritage Roper is great for wearing to school, casual dress, or actual calf roping in the arena!  Most Law Enforcement uses the black color. (I think it's a tradition thing because it's easy to polish.)

The sole allows a non-slip run, but not so much grip surface as to make you have to take off these boots at every door. And, the tops are "break-in easy" leathers that will make all day wear a pleasure.

These are value priced boots that are much better feeling, (for the long haul), than value priced boots elsewhere. Almost all boots feel good when you first try them on. These ropers will be with you after the cows come home!
