Most times, when we view a western or dress
hat site, there will be a lot of male models. For years, ladies have come
into our store wondering how "they" would look in a hat, or
"where were the ladies hats?" This page has a lot of
ladies wearing some very popular styles for both men and women. You see,
most hats can be shaped either by bending and manipulating wire built into
the outer edge of the brim, or by steaming the hat and changing curves up
or down a little. (Sometimes even radically!)
The Crushable Tassy's are so popular because they just go on and do
a good job from the start. You can manipulate that wire a bit, after it is
on your head, for just the right touch. The advantage is that they just
pop into shape when you put them on your head.
The Oilskins are just about as impervious
to water as a hat can get. Expect them to be comfortable; but, they
will loose some of that stiff look with wear. In fact, the more aged they
become, the better you will love your Oilskin.
