Gerald Roberts, World Champion All-Around Cowboy in 1942 and 1948,
began his rodeo career at 13 in Clyde Miller's Wild West Show and competed for the next 30
years. Entering and winning most of the major rodeos in the United States, he won
the North American Championship at Calgary, Canada in 1950. He was inducted into the
Pro-Rodeo Hall of Fame in August of 1990. Mr. Roberts started in business by
originating the nine plait bull rope. Later, he incorporated chaps into the
business. From years of rodeo experience and over 25 years of business experience,
Chap-Parel has developed its quality line of chaps. |
These chaps are semi-custom made to measure and manufactured as
they are ordered. This way you can pick your own colors and detail. We carry
about 24 pair in stock, though, so if you need something quick give us a call.
Chap-Parel uses 2-3 ounce chap leather, Top Grain or Split, in most
popular colors. For work chaps, a 4-5 ounce Top Grain is available. Elk and
deer are made up on the availability of the leather. These are never perfect clear
hides, but will be made up with the least amount of imperfections. Chaps made of elk
and deer cannot be returned because of natural imperfections & scars.
Rodeo chaps have three buckles and straps and an adjustable back
belt. All straps are doubled and stitched. Most colors are available, so call
us with your choice of color combinations and leg strap trim. Rodeo chaps are made
up with 8" fringe unless specified.
