Circle G Reining Horse Saddles
by
Circle G Brand Saddles

Circle G Brand Reiner Saddles are hand carved in a variety of intricate small floral, basket and oak patterns, including combinations. Tooling is planned and carved for each position on your saddle. This makes your saddle the showpiece it should be. And, rather than a die cut piece of leather with oversized conchos to cover the gaps, each piece of leather is hand fitted and properly molded for a tasteful and useful marriage between parts. Each model below reflects a different tooling option using the same tree.

Garroutte Products will make saddles that are better than average. Better in quality, better in fit and better in performance. Experienced trainers can see all the advantages of owning and riding this series of performance saddles. Butterfly skirts allow more show blanket to come out. They allow good close positioning with your horse. The reiner saddle series is built on a V.C. Equitation Pleasure tree. The ground seat and rise is proper to aid you in your riding, rather than giving an artificial, or restricted look.

And don't think that just because such effort is put out to make your reining saddle look spectacular, that this saddle is not built for strength and endurance. Unlike saddles which are made for a couple years of showing and then to be traded, Your saddle is built on a wooden tree; selected woods, placed in positions according to their flexing and their rigid properties. Then bullhide covered to hold in moisture and add life. The tree maker gives a 5 year warrantee, but this is the type of tree that lasted over 20 years in your grandfather's saddles.

The standard tree in this saddle is Full Quarter Horse bars with a 3 1/2 inch height cantle, but with the specially formed seat, you achieve the riding support of higher cantles in lesser saddles. 3 1/2 inches of cantle will still allow you to lean back without feeling a bite in your lower back.

Leg position is important in the show arena. We would like to ask you a few questions about your leg dimensions, sort of like fitting for chaps, so that length of leg as well as diameter of thigh are properly positioned. With seat sizes from 14 to 16 in half inch increments, fit can be exacting.

Rigging is shown as a dropped dee. For the rear, In-Skirt slot rigging is usually preferred, and is an option.

High quality choices of heavy duty synthetic fleece, and real sheep's wool are offered.

Your saddle can be, and we prefer to ship to you, in a padded saddle bag by Big D Blanket company. This bag will help insure the proper finish of your investment for many years.

Look at the detail in both the hand carvings of the leathers and in the engraving of the silver. Each saddle is made by an artist with many saddles of experience under their belt. Their pride rides on the saddle made just for you.

When you begin with the best quality leathers, and professional craftsmen, you can finish with a look that can compete in your arena.

To give you an idea of the versatility available,
Circle G Reiners are also available with handcarving as:
GAR- 420277: Basket & Oak Combination. (wool)
GAR- 420280: 3/4 Floral Hand tooled. (fleece)
GAR- 420275: 3/4 Hand Tooled Basket. (fleece)
GAR- 420276: Basket & Barbed Wire. (fleece)
GAR- 420285: Full Floral Tooled. (wool)

Today's reiner saddle is more popular without the silver laden cantle cover.  Here you see a nice Cheyenne roll with laced cantle. Natural rawhide trim on horn cap, stirrups & laced roll.  This color is also indicative of the preferred reining saddle light oil coloring (no bleaching).

Notice the fine tooling detail. The quality of the Garoutte Saddles lives onward, though Dean has now retired. Rico has been his saddler for many years & almost all the staff including office, have stayed on with the company. Beautiful conchos.  And the Rico label has been used for this reiner saddle.

For this model, we chose real sheepskin. Only the best fleece hides using the thickest , most even parts of that hide are used in the construction of your saddle.
(No thin spots)

And take note of a strong stainless double ring system with rear flank.

The reiner saddle gullet allows freedom for the horse, yet still maintains that "hold" you need for those athletic movements.

Available with specially designed nylon girth tie straps, or latigo leather.

This rear pic shows the richness of the fleece used. More protection for your horse, and more slip resistance too.

Here's the underside, showing the rigging. The ring position positions the rider well. And skirt as well as ring plates allow a good contact with your ride.

You see the Blevins fastening, and a heavy duty stirrup strap to top off your straps' gathering.

This 420281 saddle by Garoutte makers
is available in stock at Cultured Cowboy in a 14 inch seat. And this seat cover is made of TOP GRAIN American Buffalo hide for a little more grip, (not too much), and great durability!

Only $3099.99 AS YOU SEE IT.

Our Pricing:

Our CC Prices are based on the saddle as shown and described.  Don't be shy about asking for options you need.
For You, we will deliver more saddle value for the buck than anyone; because, 1) we spend more time asking you, your trainers, instructors and judges, the questions needed, to get everything right for you.  2) we actually ride. 3) we study several disciplines and more than one breed, allowing us to cross over great ideas. 4) we have the experience of fitting hundreds of riders and their horses. 5) we respectfully ask the tree makers and the saddle makers to work with us as a team. Making you the winning rider that you deserve to be always takes a willing team.  These are a few reasons that we understand more about riding, and fitting saddles than most!

Really, with all the many options available, these saddles are hard to price without a conversation anyway.  There are options of colors, seats, sizes, and fitting.
Thanks, & God Bless,   Chuck
